FNB PRIVATE WEALTH LOUNGE

FNB Joburg ArtFair 2015-2017

 

Using existing platforms to engage clients is vital. Heidi and her team saw the opportunity to arrange a first-ever client experience space in the FNB Joburg Artfair. With guidance from the Head of Sponsorship at FNB, the FNB Private Wealth Lounge was born to engage and connect with high-net-worth individuals.

Position held
Heidi Flint managed 100% of the sponsorship of FNB Private Wealth Lounge within the FNB Joburg Artfair for the first year. After that, it was decided that both private banking businesses would use this space. This was managed during Heidi’s five-year leadership role as Head of Marketing for FNB Private Wealth.

BRANSON CENTRE OF ENTREPERNEURSHIP

“Screw Business as Usual” Launch (Sir Richard Branson) – 2011 to 2012

 

In 2011 a team was assembled to reposition the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship SA (combined with the South African launch of Sir Richard Branson’s book “Screw Business as Usual’). The aim was to change the face of engaged entrepreneurs in SA and make an impact on youth entrepreneurship in SA.

By combining storytelling with strategic thinking, we were able to drive and engage different stakeholders to make an impact. This included launch events, rebranding the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship, hosting high-impact entrepreneurs with Sir Richard Branson in SA, and designing a campaign that shared the stories of entrepreneurs ‘’open for business’’ with the aim of engaging entrepreneurs in focused communities.

The team took engagement from under 40 entrepreneurs to over 400 engaged entrepreneurs in the course of two years. The vision was to strengthen and capacitate entrepreneurs in SA to take the vision forward.

Position held
Under the leadership of CEO Tracey Webster, Heidi Flint was responsible for marketing for the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in 2011-2012.

FNB RIDER LOUNGE

FNB Wines2Whales 2013 to 2015

 

Designed and curated riders-only lounge for the FNB WInes2Whales cycle event. The Lounge enabled the rider to enjoy a relaxed chilled space after the race. They get to interaction with the FNB brand which enabled non banked and banked clients to get entrenched in brand. The introduction of the lounge and winning approach that Heidi and her team brought to FNB Wines2Whales, in partnership with Stillwatersports, helped to raise the profile of the race to one of the world’s best MTB race experiences and brought fresh ways of connecting and engaging the rider audience.

Position held
Heidi Flint managed 50% of the sponsorship of FNB W2W over a five-year period while she was Head of Marketing for FNB Private Wealth.

PERMISSION TO GIVE LIFE

The Coca-Cola Company

 

The Coca-Cola Company’s objective was to engage customers, bottlers and leaders of its business to drive sales from small SMEs to larger retail outlets.

A customer connection campaign, Permission to Give Life, was designed by Heidi Flint with the broader aim of engaging all Coca-Cola leaders, employees and partners. The ultimate impact was improvement of the communities in which suppliers operated, to increase brand likeability, sales and engagement.

The effect was sizeable investment into a school in the Valley of a Thousand Hills in KwaZulu-Natal.

Position held

In 1997, Heidi Flint founded and ran the Direct Answer, a direct and relationship marketing agency for over eight years. The Direct Answer’s clients included The Coca-Cola Company, Investec Private Bank, Medical Rescue South Africa, PPC, Vered Estate and others.

INSPIRATION LIVES IN AFRICA

Stanbic Bank – 2006

 

Stanbic Africa’s goal was to increase brand awareness and grow its footprint in six countries (Uganda, Namibia, Malawi, Zambia, Swaziland and Botswana)

The campaign Heidi Flint designed was called Inspiration lives in Africa. It had a threefold target – in-store applications to drive foot traffic into branches; partnership with in-country radio and newsprint partners for awareness; print advertising and 30-second radio ads.

The campaign resulted in twice-weekly half- to full-page articles in newspapers and radio coverage, increased footprint in branches and an overall increase in top of mind awareness for Stanbic Bank.

Position held:
Working with HKML Direct founder Vikki Jackson, Heidi Flint was creative and community lead for the campaign, responsible for in-country relationships in Zambia, Swaziland and Botswana.
